About Us

My name is J. Husband is B. We are both 38. Our daughter, Twinkle Toes, was born at 33 weeks gestation, a whole 7 weeks before she was due and stayed in the NICU for 32 days, hence the title of the blog. I started this blog shortly after my daughters 2nd month of life, to document our journey and day to day life with a Preemie.

Our story:

B and I met online.  Yep, online!  Crazy huh?!  We went thru the online process and finally got to the point of being "allowed" to talk on the phone.  We finally were comfortable enough to meet up, live and in person.  A few days later we went on our first date and we've never looked back.  That was August of 2006.

In June 2007, he proposed. We had a year-long engagement and got married July 12, 2008. Our wedding was a beautiful mild-weathered outdoor ceremony and was a perfect day. We had so much fun. We're married!!!

Due to our age and a few other issues we had to go thru mild infertility treatments after trying to get pregnant for nearly a year and a half without success.  On January 3rd, 2010 we found out we were expecting! We were thrilled.  After an extremely easy pregnancy our little girl arrived far earlier than expected due to Severe Preeclampsia and IUGR. Twinkle Toes arrived at 9:25 am on July 25, 2010 weighing 3 lbs, 4 oz. She is absolutely perfect and totally healthy!

So this is a peek into our lives while we grow with her and ride the roller coaster that is parenthood with a preemie.
